ILLEGAL TENDER EXHIBITION IN DUNEDIN

Here’s a sneak peak of Cut Collective’s show “Illegal Tender”, which opened last Thursday night at the Dunedin Public Art Gallery.  We spent 10 days down in this gorgeous little city setting up the show, long hard days spraying, stencilling and building.  A big thank you to the DPAG for having us, and making us feel truely welcome.  I will always have a soft spot for Dunedin now!

The show is up till mid January, so if you’re in the area, be sure to drop by and check out the show.  We are really proud of what we’ve achieved, and we would really like to think that we can broaden the scope of audience through the gallery with this show.

Big ups Dunners!!!

COMMON GROUND

Cut Collective (NZ) & ViaGrafik (Germany) at The New Dowse,

Lower Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand.

Me and my crew Cut Collective are involved in a pretty big exhibition at The New Dowse with German art collective ViaGrafik . With both crews having a history of Graffiti and Street Art it’s going to be interesting to see how that translates within the confines of the gallery. Given the hugeness of the Dowse I personally don’t think it’ll be an issue however.

The show kicks off with a live event on Friday the 13th of Feb, we’ll be painting, Olmecha Supreme Soundsystem will be blowing speakers, there’s something called a lasertag event (tagging with lasers?). If you’re in Welly get along!

Check their website for details.

ALSO, we’ll be taking part in the upcoming Cuba St Carnival!

Saturday Feb 21st all the way down Cuba St, Wellington.

Cut Collective will be painting up a bus for the parade and FLOX clothing will be there with a stall amongst the markets – come find me amongst the masses..
